About the source
The Women-led, 120-year-old Finca Santa Felisa in southwestern Guatemala is a model farm for pursuing environmental and community justice—all while producing award-winning coffee.
The farm is operated by the agronomist, ecologist, and Q-Grader Anabella Meneses and her brother, Antonio. These fourth-generation farmers are multiple-time Cup of Excellence winners, including earning a 1st Place Prize in 2017, and highly sought after by roasters around the world. Needless to say, the coffee from this farm is exceptional, and it’s a treat to be able to share it with home roasters.
Santa Felisa stands out as a farm that has reimagined their business success as a force for good in their community by funding and operating a school on the farm, and another in the nearby town. The children are fed twice per day with food from the farm’s organic garden, and the school provides support for kids who wish to complete high school. We’re honored to support the Meneses family as they elevate their local community.
*NOTE: $1/lb of every purchase is donated to the Santa Felisa school (Las Nubes Project) to help fund women’s education and increase gender equity in Guatemala.
